Things To Say To Sister On Wedding Card

Play

letter Play
she says
I say all Say

I (not) to play!

Writing (occasionally) to understand above all as a game, releases creative forces. I put the set in writing workshops. The hard work is to convince the participants of the first times like this, that, given the playful exercises to anything important. Just waiting to let go, to want to experiment, snippets and scraps of conjuring up to collect what is stated and then select what you want to keep it. Keeping can take various forms. But the choice of form can be playful: a collage of verses? With pictures? With photos? Shredded?

If a hard time just so creative, just waiting for a form, then I like to try out Japanese poetry types. I consider it important not to be purist. This poetry form is already very interested in the Japanese language (and syllable structures) oriented. They can also try with other languages - the poet lab is open 24 hours a day! Given the coarse structures. Filled they are arbitrary.

A Gogyohka for example is a poem that simply consists of 5 rows (see above). Sometimes it requires that each line should ideally consist of a set. It comes to using this poem just to play, remains with the requirement of 5 lines.

A Haiku consists of 3 lines, one containing the first syllable of 5, the second 7 and the third again 5th My favorite exercise with blocked creatives: From tabloid headlines right cut and put together as a haiku. Makes even the hyper-intellectual fun! Leave

Haiku
is to measure how verses
ruler. Easy!

The Tanka is a poem of 5 lines, with the following number of syllables: 5 - Fly 7

snippets and scraps

flies and blow it - 7 - 5 - 7.
Fun
find most of them playing with the Senryu: A poem of 3 lines with no more than 17 syllables: Is

A friendship like a sea of waves
Full of light and stars

In return from Japan I'm happy to classic Elfchen : A poem of eleven words, broken down as follows among 5 lines:

1 word 2 words 3 words

4 words 1 word

Tbilisi
between mountains
The heat burns
the day I dream away Today

Come on, now you start it! Boundaries to be bridged. Writing is ...
... Game!
